Well, to a Roman centurion, pretty f-ing rational. Then if JC Hisself saw what idiotic fundamentalists like yr pal Kirby did with His teaching, He'd have probably sided with the Roman pigs.
KO may teach and attempt to write what he takes to be poetry, but poet he is not.
i don't recall ever hearing or reading that kirby thinks he's a poet quite the opposite while he makes attempts at verse his claim is that in any culture there are numerous aspirants but very few authentic dyed in the wool poets
Actually, Olson's a snitch, and a liar (not to say shallow, moralizing pendejo). Sort of rules out the possibility of poesy, a priori as it were.
Cold, but that's how he served me, merely for objecting to his stupid-a** flagwaving (and also making sh**t about me on his most recent thread. I don't know anyone from that blog, at all, and haven't harrassed anyone. In fact I've bookmarked it as libel).
you're right i just don't get it probably never will but i want to thank you for the brilliant effort at enlightenment lost as i am in the dark shadows of cognitive awareness
as long as you're here why don't you address the concept of hope we could talk about that
j trakking back i agree with you completely i don't think anyone was embarrassed but it would seem that quite a few people were and are annoyed to distraction like when a car alarm goes off or something by you but hey you do get to be you and yes this is a relatively free world but people are free to react against us too and that's a fact of life like no other save for daily natural bowle movements people have been losing intellectual battles since parmenides argued with heraclitus but it all means nothing if we can't laugh at our own mental insufficiencies and perhaps grow from others
one advantage of living in a christian community is i get to heare the formulations of thought from quite a few different minds and on a daily and weekly basis and it is always in a context of shared knowledge and mutual enhancement i am pretty grateful for that if blogging can be a way for me to extend some of that out into the world i'm happy if it isn't the right medium for shared knowledge then i would quietly bow out what i do know is there are some people out there who are far brighter than i happen to be and people with deeper and more extensive knowledge of things so much that i can only sit back and wonder sometimes at the amount of material i have not seen or thought about or pondered it's a pretty cool dance and it seems to work best when everyone is keeping it cool and amusing and at times ridiculous and well it's always sort of hilarious anyway everybody has to make their way in cyberspce you'll find out what you want to do in this spatial dimension you may have more to offer than anyone knows i often think that meeting a person in the flesh is a way of dispelling any illusions about that person -- get a chance to eyeball the guy -- share a joke or a cup of wine or something but in lieu of that it seems important to try to err on the side of decency no need to wrankle stay kool jack

You don't quite get it do you:
Olson's in error---"homo peccati filius perditionis."

i am pretty grateful for that
if blogging can be a way for me to extend some of that out into the world i'm happy if it isn't the right medium for shared knowledge then i would quietly bow out
what i do know is there are some people out there who are far brighter than i happen to be and people with deeper and more extensive knowledge of things
so much that i can only sit back and wonder sometimes at the amount of material i have not seen or thought about or pondered
it's a pretty cool dance
and it seems to work best when everyone is keeping it cool and amusing and at times ridiculous and well it's always sort of hilarious anyway
everybody has to make their way in cyberspce
you'll find out what you want to do in this spatial dimension
you may have more to offer than anyone knows
