Alone,
Up in the tree
Is a red wheel barrow upon which I thought I could

wisdom in the face of defeat
but the bottom line is that
mom's chicken soup
never will pull in
as much revenue
as Pfizer.
the big conglomerates
almost always win.
(...on the twins' defeat at the hands of the yankees
3-0 three straight play-off games
10 losses to the yankees on the season...2009)

CATEXTROPHE
i saw the best minds of our society
destroyed by text messaging
car crashes train wrecks
metastasizing devices murdering brain cells
immediacy
replacing understanding
weapons of destruction of the masses
guns don't kill people improvised explosive messages do
by the roadside in the thoroughfare car
bomb truck bomb bus bomb plane
bomb
bomb bomb bomb
inattention is the new concentration
soon we will all be twittering machines
Another catextrophe bites the dust in the wind
where the answers blow
(this is a poem by bill borneman
if you read it you must pay me and then i will see that he gets a cut)
