multi-colored universal catholicism...to the god of leisure
In the offering of a libation to the gods,
one is to pour a little of the wine on the ground,
to waste it, to show that not everything is necessary.
From the point of view of God’s creation,
He did not “need” to create.
In a paradoxical sense, He wasted His time
tossing us out there to see what we might do.
In the end,
He seems simply to have wanted us
to “waste” our time with Him for eternity.
I will buy that thesis!
